Veronica received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology both from Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX. She became a Licensed Professional Counselor certified by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors in 2019.
Veronica completed her graduate fieldwork with individuals in an in-patient correctional/rehabilitation setting where she assisted in teaching classes, as well as, individual and group therapy. She has experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma, grief/loss, self-harm, and suicidal ideations/attempts. She has specialized training in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, CAM’s Care Suicide Prevention training, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (insomnia, trauma-focused, and psychosis).
Veronica is passionate about empowering others to successfully work through challenging situations, regain their self-confidence, and achieve their goals. She has been with West Texas Counseling & Guidance since 2019 and is currently providing counseling to adult clients via telehealth.
