Kristine L. Saucer-Decker graduated from Angelo State University with her undergraduate degree in 1999 and her graduate degree in 2002. She began her professional career serving rural West Texas communities through the Texas Department of Family and Regulatory Services, where she provided support to families across multiple counties.

Kristine later transitioned to the Counseling Department at New Mexico Junior College (NMJC) in Hobbs, New Mexico, expanding her work in student and community mental health services.

From 2012 to 2025, Kristine served as a Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC), providing solution-focused counseling to Active-duty, Guard, and Reserve service members and their families. Over the course of 13 years, she delivered individual, family, and group counseling services, with eight of those years embedded within specialized military units. In these roles, she provided high-demand, mission-ready support across all branches of the U.S. military, including the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, and Space Force.

As a military child herself, Kristine personally understands the unique demands and transitions inherent in military culture. She identifies as a transitional counselor, specializing in support during deployments, geographic bachelor assignments, permanent change of station (PCS) moves, reintegration, retirement, and separation from service.

Kristine is a culturally affirming and inclusive counselor who is committed to creating a safe, supportive space for all individuals, including members of the LGBTQ+ community.
