Behavioral Intervention Skills Class

Learn the most effective methods to help reduce behavior problems in children.

Do you have a child with behavioral problems? If you are a parent or guardian and need help dealing with a child’s difficult behaviors, help is available! Learn how to effectively deal with acting out, how to best implement rewards and consequences, and learn how to empower instead of enable challenging behaviors. The difficult task of co-parenting is addressed, along with how to parent in the stepparent role. 

Class is conducted every Friday from 12pm to 1pm by a Licensed Professional Counselor at West Texas Counseling & Guidance, 36 E Twohig- TheCactus Hotel, 6th Floor. To register, call 325-944-2561.  Cost is only  $20 per participant, and you can pay on the day of the class. No paperwork to fill out.

SOS Support Group

The Survivors of Suicide (SOS) Support Group is a group for those who have lost a loved one to suicide. The group is co-facilitated by a survivor of suicide and a mental health professional. Members come to the group to find support and acceptance in a judgement free atmosphere. Prior to attending a group, survivors meet with a counselor to talk about what to expect from the group and to ensure that the group is the appropriate level of support for the survivor.

For Kids' Sake

**PLEASE NOTE: The April 11, 2020, For Kid’s Sake class will be a correspondence class due to COVID-19 precautionary measures. Booklets can be picked up at the WTCG office located at 242 N. Magdalen Street. For more information, please call 325-944-2561.

For Kids' Sake seminars provide parent education to assist children with the pain and trauma experienced during divorce. This 4-hour class meets the court-ordered requirements for divorcing parents.
