Ruby is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). She has a passion and specialty for substance use disorders. She received her associates degree through Howard College in San Angelo in 2010. Ruby is currently working towards obtaining her bachelors in social work (BSW).
Ruby is professionally trained to educate and assist individuals in overcoming substance use issues, including those who are under supervision by the courts. For those who fear they will become dependent on chemical substances, Ruby provides guidance to identify root issues that lead to dependencies, while teaching them to become self-sufficient.
Ruby has provided counseling services to both men and women in a correctional setting since March 2011. She has maintained a senior counselor position since December 2016 at a men’s community corrections facility for individuals involved with the court due to substance use issues.. Ruby primarily works with adult clients ages 17 and up.
Ruby has been with WTCG since 2019 and is officed on the 6th floor of the Cactus Hotel.
