Brooke is a Licensed Master Social Worker through the state of Texas, supervised by Jan Lentz, LCSW-S. She received her Bachelor of Social Work from Angelo State University in 2020, and later her Master of Social Work in 2021, also from Angelo State University.
Brooke’s history in the mental health field is deeply rooted in social work values, considering not only the client’s direct history but the community in which they live and the social systems beyond which impact them as well. Prior to her career as a clinician with West Texas Counseling and Guidance, Brooke directly served the veteran population of San Angelo as a Veteran Services case manager with WTCG, assisting clients to foster connections with a wide variety of community resources and reinforcing self-efficacy. Beyond this, Brooke embedded herself with a part of San Angelo’s underserved populations, working as an outreach case manager in collaboration with the Wesley Trinity United Methodist Church soup kitchen program during her graduate fieldwork.
Brooke provides counseling for teenagers and adults, employing an eclectic approach for her sessions, utilizing a variety of evidence-based practices, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic pain and insomnia, Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, as well as both solution-focused and person-centered techniques.
Brooke is officed at the 6th floor of the Cactus Hotel.
