Amber is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of Texas. Amber received a Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2018 from American Military University and a Master’s in Social Work in 2021 from Angelo State University. She is currently working towards licensure as a Clinical Social Worker and is under the supervision of Robert Turner, LCSW-S.
Amber has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in various social work settings: Veteran Affairs, Judicial System, Mental Health, and Psychiatric Hospital Social Work. In these roles, she worked with a wide scope of matters including substance abuse, relational conflict, anxiety, depression, domestic violence, mood disorders, and trauma. Amber has additionally worked at the federal level with military individuals facing the judicial system and incarceration. She is also a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard.
Amber guides her approach using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy focusing on working with individuals with depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. She is focused on working with adolescents, adults, and couples.
She joined West Texas Counseling & Guidance in 2022 and her office is located at the Magdalen location.
