Liz is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Provisional Registered Art Therapist. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2009 and her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology in 2015 – both from Angelo State University. She received her Expressive Arts Therapy Certificate through Prescott College in Prescott, AZ. She is a member of the American Art Therapy Association and the American Counseling Association.

Liz is a Cognitive Processing Therapy Provider. She has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and suicide prevention using the CAMS from Christine Padesky, PhD, renowned psychologist in the field of CBT. Her primary focus is on assisting individuals in recovery from trauma, addictions, self-harm, depression and anxiety. She works with adults, adolescents, and children.

Liz is passionate about the healing properties art and believes it can open a dialogue to express thoughts and feelings that may be difficult to put into words.  

Liz has been with WTCG in different capacities involving youth since 2013. She was the lead art instructor, prior to becoming a Licensed Profession Counselor, with the Youth Make a Difference Program and served as the coordinator, art instructor, and counselor within the Juvenile Detention’s Art Intervention program.

She offices on the 6th floor of the Cactus.
