Peggy Mathias Website 2020

Peggy Mathias, a proponent of life-long learning, obtained her B.A. Degree in Psychology in 2010, and her M.S. Degree in Counseling in 2012—both from Angelo State University. Now, as a Licensed Professional Counselor, she is trained and experienced in using Cognitive Behavior Therapy for various disorders, including anxiety and depression; Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD; and Prolonged Exposure for PTSD. She is also a Co-Facilitator for the Survivors of Suicide Group, for those people who have lost someone dear to them due to suicide.

Peggy has a specific empathy for those suffering from depression and anxiety, having survived a life-threatening episode of depression earlier in life. She has also experienced the upheaval of corporate downsizing closely followed by the death of her husband. She is eager to help others through her professional training and life experiences.

Peggy currently leads the Survivors of Suicide (SOS) Support Group every Tuesday evening. For more information about SOS Support Group, click here.
